AXA Hong Kong and Macau has extended its AXA Climate School programme from five to seven local universities, providing recipients with business-focused e-learning modules. For its third year, the AXA Climate School will run from 3 March to 25 April 2025.

Launched in 2022, the AXA Climate School is a free online course that aims to train young talents in Hong Kong on their knowledge of sustainability and the effects of climate change among communities. Currently, the programme has gathered approximately 1,000 university students.

This year’s Climate School will include over 20 optional courses covering topics such as human resources, risk management, sales, and legal considerations, alongside a live expert webinar discussing sustainability frameworks, global regulatory trends, and the evolving job market in a green economy.

The participating universities include The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, Lingnan University, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and Hong Kong Shue Yan University.

Sally Wan, Chief Executive Officer of AXA Greater China, shared about the company’s commitment to addressing climate change, adding “Education is central to this mission, equipping future leaders with the knowledge and skills to tackle climate challenges and drive meaningful change toward a more resilient world.”

“As part of this commitment, we are proud to enhance the AXA Climate School programme by integrating digital elements, offering advanced e-learning modules, and introducing an improved structure.”

Aside from the AXA Climate School, the company has introduced other climate-related initiatives, including the launch of its “Heatwave Parametric Insurance” product, aimed at addressing climate-related risks.
