Liberty Insurance has appointed Cynthia Sze as chief executive of its combined Hong Kong unit, effective May, the company confirmed on Friday.
Sze joins after more than 15 years at AIG, where she held several roles, most recently as general manager for Hong Kong and Macau. She has also had a stint at RSA, now Intact Insurance, in her 25 years of industry experience, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Her move follows Liberty Mutual Reinsurance’s appointment of John Nicholls as casualty underwriting manager for Australia and New Zealand, announced last week.
The Liberty Mutual Group announced in late January that is consolidating its two Hong Kong insurance entities, Liberty Specialty Markets Hong Kong Limited and Liberty International Insurance Limited, into a single operation to strengthen local and regional capabilities, as part of its One APAC Transformation announced in April 2024.
