Life insurer and wealth management business ClearView Wealth Limited (Clearview) has announced the retirement of Simon Swanson, Managing Director, effective July 1st 2023. In tandem, the group have announced the appointment of Nadine Gooderick to the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Gooderick, who will also start her new role on July 1st, has been with ClearView since Jun 2020 and currently holds the position of Group Executive, Technology & Development. She has 25 years of experience in life insurance, including 22 years total at RGA where her positions included COO and Vice President. During her career, she has managed international programs; led large diverse teams; and delivered multi-year transformation programs.
Gooderick's rise to CEO
Geoff Black, Chairman of ClearView, expressed his delight at the appointment of Gooderick to CEO. He praised her as a “well-respected, proven business leader with over 25 years life insurance experience.” He also expressed his confidence that she would continue to drive ClearView’s success, saying the business are “extremely fortunate to have someone of her high calibre to lead ClearView into the future.”
Black was also complimentary of the outgoing Swanson. He thanked him for his “immense contribution and dedication to ClearView and the broader life insurance industry” and noted that Swanson had led Clearview “to become one of Australia’s leading life insurance companies.”
