Prudential has announced an investment of S$880,000 (US$683,771) in community programmes to commemorate Singapore’s 60th Independence Day on 18 June (Wednesday).

The investment will provide household essentials, including hand soap and dishwashing liquid, for over 1,100 lower-income families under ComLink+.

In addition to access to personal hygiene items, Prudential is contributing cash donations to the Prudential Longevity Pledge fundraising programme. This builds on its partnership with the non-profit KidSTART to promote healthy eating habits among children aged from 0 to 6 years, through live cooking shows and meal preparation with their families.

Later this year, the initiative will also establish community edible gardens under Healthy Harvest, which will “serve as social and therapeutic green spaces.”

Alongside the thousand-dollar investment, Prudential shared its move to Labrador Tower in May 2025. The new office, covering a floor area of 170,000 square feet, will accommodate 1,200 corporate employees and 5,400 financial representatives.

Chan San San, Chief Executive of Prudential Singapore, stated: “With over 90 years of history in Singapore, Prudential has a deep connection with the country and its people. As Singapore marks its 60th year of independence and Prudential moves to its new office at Labrador Tower, we want to celebrate by investing in the well-being of our community.”

“The move to Labrador Tower strategically unites our corporate and agency teams under one roof. We anticipate that the shared spaces and increased interactions will foster deeper collaboration, facilitate greater knowledge exchanges, and promote a more seamless approach to serving our customers,” Chan added.
