AIA has extended its partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club through to June 2032, while scaling back on its overall sponsorship commitment.
In a media release dated Tuesday, 4 November, AIA confirmed it will remain Tottenham Hotspur’s front-of-shirt sponsor and Global Principal Partner until the close of the 2026/27 season. From July 2027, the insurer will transition to become Tottenham’s Global Training Partner, with branding featured on training kits and coaches’ apparel across all teams.
AIA has been Tottenham’s principal partner and front-of-shirt sponsor since 2013, initially appearing on the club’s shirts for cup competitions before securing the main shirt sponsorship from 2014. The partnership was renewed in July 2019 with an eight-year deal reportedly worth £320m, or approximately £40m annually.
The shift to training kit sponsorship means Tottenham will be eyeing a new main shirt sponsor from the 2027/28 season.
Commenting on the announcement, Stuart Spencer, AIA Group Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted that the partnership extension reflects both parties’ “shared belief in the power of sport to inspire healthier living and personal development.”
Ryan Norys, Chief Revenue Officer of Tottenham Hotspur, echoed this, saying that the partnership “has been able to make a tangible, positive difference in the lives of thousands of young people across Asia.”
According to AIA, more than 175,000 young people across Asia have taken part in AIA’s football clinics run by Spurs coaches. With the extension, the firm aims to continue its engagement around training, health, and well-being across the region.
Since the partnership began, Tottenham Hotspur has opened a new stadium and won the UEFA Europa League title in the 2024/25 season.
