AIA Singapore offers six months complimentary insurance for up to 15,000 residents

AIA Singapore has announced it will offer six months of complimentary holistic insurance coverage to celebrate Singapore’s 59th National Day, which falls on 9 August.

This complimentary insurance is being offered between 5 August and 31 August and provides coverage for critical illness (CI) and mortality due to sickness and accident, as well as teleconsultations with WhiteCoat.

The offer is available to all Singaporean residents, limited to the first 15,000 sign-ups starting on 5 August, AIA said.

The product provides a sum assured of up to SG$10k (US$7.4k) for 37 critical illnesses, a death benefit of SG$10k for death due to sickness, and an accidental death benefit of SG$20k. Additionally, the package includes teleconsultation benefits via WhiteCoat, covering up to two visits, excluding medication and delivery costs.

“AIA Singapore has identified a 74% gap in CI coverage and a 21% gap in mortality protection within the nation,” the insurer said in a media release. “By offering this complimentary insurance, the company aims to provide essential and holistic protection against unforeseen circumstances, including CI and death due to sickness and accidents.”
