Allianz Australia has announced the appointment of Shez Ford as Chief General Manager, Consumer starting from August 2023.
Shez joins Allianz Australia from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) where she spent four and a half years as Executive General Manager, Wealth and Private, and Executive General Manager, Advice and Insurance. Shez also accumulated a wealth of experience in insurance and financial services at ANZ, ING and PWC.
Shez replaces current Chief General Manager, Consumer, Mick Winter who spent 20 years with Allianz Australia. Allianz reported that Winter left Allianz to pursue personal interests. Richard Feledy, Managing Direct at Allianz Australia, commented on Mick’s departure: “I would like to thank Mick for his outstanding leadership during his time at Allianz… I will miss Mick’s exceptional leadership and considered perspective and judgement. I wish him all the very best for the future.”
