Allianz Commercial on Tuesday (3 Sep) announced that Jenny Wilhelm had been promoted to Regional Head of Distribution for Asia, effective as of 1 September 2024.
Wilhelm has 20 years of experience in the insurance and legal industries and joined Allianz Commercial in 2017 as Regional Head of Financial Lines for Southeast Asia before being promoted to Regional Head of Financial Lines in August 2019.
In her new role, she will collaborate with the Asia leadership team to achieve the business’s growth ambitions across the region, Allianz Commercial said in an announcement. This includes developing and implementing strategic plans, enhancing distribution capabilities, managing strategic client relationships, and fostering broker partnerships throughout the region.
Wilhelm has a strong background which includes client and partner engagement, underwriting and product development, portfolio management, financial steering, claims management, and legal and compliance.
During her time at Allianz, she has been “instrumental in executing the Financial Lines and Cyber go-to-market strategy, building an underwriting community, and achieving technical excellence across Allianz operating entities in Asia,” the insurer said in its announcement.
Prior to joining Allianz, Wilhelm held various Financial Lines underwriting and claims positions in the APAC region at Chubb and Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.
A successor for Wilhelm’s previous role as Regional Head of Financial Lines & Cyber Asia has yet to be announced. Allianz said she will continue to handle these responsibilities until a successor is appointed and a transition process is completed.
