Allianz SE Reinsurance (Allianz Re) has appointed Anna Kohls as its next regional CEO and head of P&C client management for the Asia-Pacific reinsurance branch, effective 1 January 2026, the company has announced in a press release.
She succeeds Kenrick Law, who is stepping down after 12 years in the position.
Kohls has been with the group for 25 years, starting her (re)insurance career at the company’s Munich office as an in-house consultant.
She also held senior roles at the company, including serving as head of P&C client management from 2015 to 2020, and, most recently, as head of group reinsurance Western Europe & Ibero-LatAm, during which she supported strategic restructuring initiatives.
“Anna brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having been with Allianz Group since 2009,” said Denis Pehar, chief market officer at Allianz Re. “Her deep understanding of the reinsurance industry and her previous tenure in the P&C Client Management team from 2015 to 2020 position her well for this leadership role.”
Holger Tewes-Kampelmann, CEO of Allianz Re, added that Kohls’ knowledge of the region would support a “seamless transition” while further developing the Asia-Pacific franchise.
Law’s departure follows more than a decade leading Allianz’s Singapore reinsurance branch and broader regional operations, and the company credited him with “driving the success and growth” of the reinsurance business in Singapore and the broader APAC region.
Tewes-Kampelmann expressed appreciation for Law’s “leadership and unwavering commitment,” and wished him well in future endeavours.
“His leadership, commitment, and expertise will leave a lasting impact on the organisation,” Pehar added.
