Aon has appointed Winnie Loh as its new real estate and data centre leader for Southeast Asia, effective immediately, the global broker announced in a media release on Tuesday.
Based in Singapore, Loh will lead the strategic direction and client delivery of Aon’s real estate and data centre capability across Southeast Asia, while continuing in her role as director within Aon’s commercial risk team.
Loh joined the company in 2021 and has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, including time at Marsh, KIB Insurance Brokers, and HSBC Insurance Brokers (Singapore). She also had an initial stint at Aon as an account executive from 2003-2004.
The appointment underscores the firm’s continued investment in data centres and digital infrastructure as a critical and fast-growing asset class across the region, according to the global broker.
“As digitalisation, cloud adoption, artificial intelligence and resilience expectations reshape the sector, she will support investors, developers and operators with insight-led advice to help them assess risk, build resilience and make more informed decisions across the full asset lifecycle,” it said.
Commenting on Loh’s appointment, Jon Pipe, head of commercial risk for Asia at Aon, said: “Winnie’s appointment reflects both the pace of growth we’re seeing in the region and the increasing sophistication of the challenges our clients are navigating. Her deep sector expertise and leadership will be critical as we help clients bring greater clarity to complex risk environments and align capital decisions with long term performance.”
The move follows recent personnel updates in Asia-Pacific for Aon, including those of Alexander Eakins as client director, cyber solutions; Jukgrid Treesuttamas as senior adviser for Aon Re Thailand, Nazirah Din Taouk as regional director for marine, Asia; Nick Chapman’s remit expansion as marine risk engineering lead, Asia; and Nathan Cheung as director and head of construction, power and infrastructure in Hong Kong.
