CFC has expanded its technology and media offerings in Australia with the launch of onshore underwriting and locally traded products, the managing general agent (MGA) announced in a media release on Thursday.
The business has appointed Stella Gilson as national manager for the unit, who has returned to Sydney from CFC in London for the role.
The expanded suite provides placement options across technology professional indemnity, cyber, media liability, and products and services liability. It also includes affirmative artificial intelligence (AI) cover for technology and cyber, and offers fast digital trading for technology risks via Connect alongside same-day local underwriting decisions.
“Australia’s technology and creative sectors are thriving, and brokers are telling us they need clearer, more responsive support when placing technology and media risks,” Gilson said. “As the digital landscape evolves with escalating cyber threats, increased AI adoption and rising regulatory expectations, our expanded offering gives brokers the flexibility they need, backed by both local and global expertise.”
The launch is the latest by CFC, following the unveiling in mid-February of its upgraded marine kidnap and ransom product, which has vessel smart-tracking technology for automatic cover for an insured ship that enters designated higher-risk waters.
