Cigna Healthcare has appointed Michael Khan as chief executive officer of its Hong Kong business, subject to regulatory approval, the company announced in a press release on Thursday.
Khan joins Cigna after more than 12 years at Marsh, where he most recently led its health and benefits practice in Hong Kong and also held prior senior roles in its London and Singapore businesses.
In his new role, Khan will report to Robert Peat, CEO of Asia-Pacific, and will focus on advancing the growth and performance of Cigna’s employer health benefits and individual health businesses in Hong Kong.
“Hong Kong remains an important market for Cigna Healthcare,” Peat commented on the appointment. “We see continued momentum in demand for both individual and employer-sponsored health solutions, and Michael’s leadership will help us accelerate growth, strengthen our customer value proposition, and build durable capabilities to support long-term success in Hong Kong.”
“I am honored to join Cigna Healthcare Hong Kong at a pivotal moment for the healthcare landscape,” Khan commented on his appointment. “I look forward to working with our teams and partners to deepen customer relationships, support sustainable growth, and help improve the health and vitality of those we serve.”
