Zurich Insurance Singapore has appointed Cheryn Wong as a senior casualty underwriter, according to a LinkedIn post by Leslie Chew, the insurer’s head of casualty, on Wednesday.

Wong joins Zurich from Everest, where she spent more than a year as a casualty underwriter for Asia. She has more than 13 years of industry experience in casualty insurance. Earlier in her career, she held underwriting and senior roles at firms including Liberty Insurance, AXA and Great American Insurance Group.

“With her depth of knowledge & experience in the market, we aim to deliver our continued service and expertise to our clients & business partners,” Chew said in the post.

The move follows other recent people changes across Zurich’s Asia-Pacific operations. The insurer recently appointed Melissa Starfield as head of strategic broker management for its ANZ general insurance business. Meanwhile, Zurich Cover-More appointed Jon Ford as head of Asia, Tricia Lim as head of commercial operations and delivery for Asia, and Blain Waterford as head of travel for ANZ.
