Delta Insurance Australia has appointed David Augustyniak as its Brisbane-based Underwriting Manager for Cyber and Professional Indemnity (PI), the managing general agent (MGA) announced on Monday, 21 July.
Augustyniak moves from Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where he spent seven years as Senior Underwriter, Executive and Professional. He brings a strong underwriting background in technology, healthcare, and financial lines risks, with over a decade of experience from major insurance firms, including AIG, IAG, and Medisure Indemnity Australia.
In his new role at Delta, he will focus on shaping a “responsive and sustainable PI and Cyber proposition” within the Australian market. “His collaborative approach, mentorship mindset, and ability to connect strategy with execution make him a natural fit for our team,” the MGA stated.
Commenting on his new role, Augustyniak expressed his enthusiasm to make a “real impact” at the MGA. “Delta represents a mix of entrepreneurial energy backed by world-class sustainable security, with a willingness to step into markets and coverages that represent a different way of thinking.”
