The Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) has named Ashby Tai as Associate Director, according to an announcement on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
Based in Singapore, Tai joins GAIP after working as a risk manager at Etiqa Insurance and as a valuation actuary at Munich Re, where she was part of the IFRS17 reporting team.
Before these roles, she spent nearly six years at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). At the regulator, she worked on banking capital standards and the risk-based capital framework for insurers. Her role also included work on risk and capital management, stress testing, and financial analysis.
Her move follows GAIP’s appointments of Min Hung Cheng as Chief Executive Officer and Dickson Wong as Director, both earlier this year.
