The Halliwell group of companies announced on Tuesday its expansion of services in the Asia Pacific region following an asset purchasing agreement of Quintons, a commercial property surveying company, by the former’s parent company, McLarens.
Quintons is an RICS-regulated firm with offices in Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand, and Melbourne, Australia. The agreement will see Quintons join Halliwell group’s current lineup of specialist service lines, expanding its capabilities in the Australia and New Zealand region.
Quintons’ founding director, James Bundy, will remain to manage its business operations and will report to Halliwell Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Colin Taylor, Halliwell said in a media release.
Founded in 2018, Quintons offers services involving project finances, building surveying, engineer to contract, contract administration, and technological surveying.
Commenting on this development, Bundy said: “We’ve established a market-leading business that excels in specialist property surveying services. Becoming part of the renowned Halliwell group will allow us to extend our international reach. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for our team.”
On the announcement, Taylor commented: “We are continuing to expand the services that we can offer clients in the region, and this is an exciting development for the Halliwell group of companies. Quintons shares our focus on offering specialist, technical consulting services to the insurance and related markets, and we look forward to working with James and the team.”
Owned by McLarens, the Halliwell group of companies provides loss consulting services worldwide, including engineering, forensic investigation, and construction consulting to corporations, insurance companies, law firms, and government agencies. The group of companies operate as separate legal entities with their own systems, business models, and governance, offering independent yet complementary services to the insurance and related markets.
