HDI Global SE has announced the appointment of Andrew Cochrane as Underwriting Manager for Liability in Australasia, effective January 2024. The move follows the promotion of Alex Tarantino to Managing Director Singapore and APAC Liability Head.

Cochrane is elevated from the role of Liability Underwriting Manager for the Northern Region. He has extensive experience, having begun his career in London in 2002 as an International Liability broker focused on Australia, Canada, Africa, and Latin America business. He moved to Australia in 2015 and started his tenure with HDI in 2019.

Stefan Feldmann, Head of HDI Global Asia Pacific and Managing Director of HDI Global Australia, praised Cochrane’s contribution, saying he had “been central to leading our success in New South Wales and supporting the development of the Queensland liability portfolio for HDI in Australia.”

He added, “Andy embodies our relationship approach to looking after our brokers with his own unique brand that as a culture we try to encourage and share with our partners and clients.”
