HDI Global has announced changes to its Hong Kong Property team, with Eric Fung, who joined the company in 2013, retiring after more than 10 years of service.
As part of a planned leadership transition following Fung’s retirement, Kenneth Law will take on the role of property underwriting manager for North Asia.
Before joining HDI in 2013, Fung spent over 15 years with SCOR after working as an engineer.
“Eric has played a pivotal role in building and shaping our Property portfolio, and we are grateful for his commitment and leadership,” HDI said. “He will remain with us until the end of June to ensure a seamless handover before enjoying a well-deserved retirement.”
Law has 17 years of insurance experience and has also worked at HDI for over a decade. He brings extensive underwriting expertise, including a specialised focus on the semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing sectors. Prior to his stint at HDI, he worked at Taiping Re.
The announcement comes after a number of key personnel announcements in late 2025, including the appointments of Peter Schraa to lead its Singapore marine unit and Jeremy Wang as underwriting manager, as part of its financial lines push in the region.
