Howden has appointed Jianhua Chen as director and Rosy Wang as associate director, both joining the company’s M&A team in China, according to an announcement on LinkedIn.

Both Chen and Wang join Howden from Aon, marking the latest in a series of hires from the rival broker as Howden continues to strengthen its M&A practice in Asia.

Based in Beijing, Chen joins Howden after a three-year stint with Aon, most recently working as a director. She brings specialist expertise in warranty and indemnity insurance, with a regional focus on cross-border M&A transactions involving multinational corporations, Chinese state-owned enterprises, and private equity clients.

Wang, based in Shanghai, moves to Howden after working with Aon COFCO Insurance Brokers since 2022, most recently as an associate director. She enters her new role with experience spanning both law and insurance, with a focus on cross-border and domestic M&A transactions. She also worked for legal practices, such as Jones Day and Han Kun Law offices, earlier in her career.

The announcement comes as the insurance broker continues to build out its M&A capabilities across the region, with key hires from Aon, including Xianwei Lee as head of M&A, Asia, and Adrian Chai and Blossom Lim, both as senior directors, M&A, Asia.
