Howden has appointed Adrian Chai as Senior Director, M&A, Asia, the global broker announced on Tuesday via LinkedIn.
He joins from Aon, where he spent over 3 years, including most recently as Head of Transaction Solutions. Prior, he worked at Marsh across private equity and M&A roles.
In his new role, Chai will lead the warranty and indemnity (W&I) practice group across Asia and will also head the South-East Asia M&A segment, Howden said.
He brings extensive experience, having practised as an M&A lawyer and advised private equity and corporate clients on transactions in the region.
The move is the latest hire in its transaction lines business in the region. In December, the broker announced the appointments of Xianwei Lee as head of M&A for Asia, Blossom Lim as senior director, M&A, as well as Eugene Lim as head of tax insurance for the region.
