Sompo has named Kathleen Chin as Marine Underwriter for the Asia Pacific region, the company announced in a LinkedIn post.
Based in Singapore, Chin reports to Dave Ong, Head of Marine for APAC, and in her new role will support the company’s growth plans in the Marine sector, with a primary focus on the Marine Hull space.
She will work closely with the regional team and collaborate with local Marine teams across the region to enhance Sompo’s Marine product offerings, the insurer said in its announcement.
Prior to joining Sompo, she was Account Manager at Oneglobal Broking in Singapore. She previously served as Assistant Underwriter at Munich Re Syndicate Labuan and held broking roles at Guy Carpenter and JLT Re.
