Manulife Hong Kong has launched a multi-year strategic charity partnership with JUST FEEL, a local NGO focused on emotional education, in what it describes as a first among Hong Kong insurers.

The initiative seeks to promote a “Compassionate School Culture” across more than 100 primary schools and reach over 150,000 students, teachers, and parents.

The collaboration includes five major initiatives, including the introduction of a “Re:FEEL School Starter Kit”, the establishment of a teacher community to promote Social Emotional Learning, and the launch of Hong Kong’s first emotional course tailored for financial advisors.

“Emotional well-being is a vital component of one’s overall well-being, and fostering emotional education from an early age is essential,” said Celia Ling, Chief Marketing Officer of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau. She added that the program aims to promote “emotional education” and support “the holistic development of students’ well-being.”

JUST FEEL Co-founder and Executive Director Raymond Yang also commented, mainly thanking Manulife for the support it provided.

The partnership was marked by a launch ceremony at Kai Tak Mall 2, Kai Tak Sports Park, where winners of the “My Flag Day” Flag Paper Design Competition were also celebrated. The competition drew submissions from over 50 primary schools and 2,700 students and serves as a lead-in to a public emotional awareness event later this year.

An accompanying Emotional Interactive Exhibition will run from 24 to 29 April, featuring installations designed to prompt visitors to reflect on emotional well-being, both their own and that of others.
