McLarens has appointed Torben Bell as Managing Director of its Australia operations, the global loss adjuster announced in a media release on Monday (9 June). He succeeds Martyn Wicht, who was promoted to Managing Director for APAC last year.

Bell joins the loss adjusting firm from Integra Technical Services, where he served for four years, including two as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand. He has also held senior roles at Crawford & Company Australia, bringing over two decades of industry experience.

Commenting on the appointment, Martyn Wicht, Managing Director, McLarens APAC, noted that the Australian business “has grown tremendously in size and service capabilities” over the last decade. “Torben’s expertise means he is a great fit for the team and I look forward to working with him to support our continued growth,” Wicht added.

Speaking on the motivation behind the move, Bell said: “McLarens has built a reputation for quality service, technical excellence and investing in their people. These align with my ethos, and I am looking forward to leading the Australian business into the future. This is an exciting opportunity, and I am delighted to be here.”

The appointment comes just days after McLarens Australia announced it had acquired Property & Forensic Assessing (PFA), a Melbourne-based loss adjusting firm that specialises in construction, commercial property, and financial loss claims. As part of the acquisition, Terry Hogan, Founding Principal and Executive Loss Adjuster & Forensic Accountant, will report to Torben Bell.
