MLC Life appoint Hiroyuki Endo as Chief Investment Officer and Deputy Finance Chief

Endo has been with parent company Nippon Life since 1995 and will relocate to Australia as part of the move.

MLC Life Insurance, a part of the Nippon Life Insurance Group, has appointed Hiroyuki Endo as its new Chief Investment Officer and Deputy Finance Chief. Endo, who was most recently the general manager of the separate account investment department for Nippon Life Insurance, will relocate to Australia to take up the new job, and will join the life insurance leadership team.

Endo began his career with Nippon Life in 1995 and has held several senior roles within the insurance giant, including chief manager of the cash management department and deputy general manager of the investment risk management unit.

Yosuke Nakano, who had held the role of Chief Investment Officer and Deputy Finance Chief, will leave the Australian business to head up Nippon Life’s global business planning department in India.

Kent Griffin, MLC Life chief executive, commented on the appointment, saying “The appointment is a sign of the critical, close working relationship between Nippon Life Insurance and MLC Life Insurance, and the commitment Nippon Life has to the success of our business.”

Minoru Kimura, Nippon Life director and managing executive officer, added that MLC Life was core to the Japanese insurer’s international growth strategy. He also thanked Nakano for his dedicated service over many years and wished him the best in his new role in India.
