Peak re appoints peter hämmerli as head of business operations

Peak Re has appointed Peter Hämmerli as Head of Business Operations, the reinsurer announced in a media release on Tuesday (27 Aug).

Hämmerli has over 25 years of reinsurance experience, including nearly 20 years at Swiss Re — where he worked across senior roles, including Head of Global Shared Service Operations. He has been serving as an industry consultant for the last six years.

“Peter’s deep understanding of reinsurance operations, coupled with his recent consulting experience, will contribute greatly to the ongoing development of Peak Re’s Business Operations team,” Peak Re said in its announcement.

“[Peter’s] deep expertise and dedication to excellence make him a perfect addition to our team as we work to strengthen our operations and provide exceptional value to our clients.”

In his new role, Hämmerli reports directly to Franz-Josef Hahn, CEO of Peak Re.
