Prudential appoints ashley veasey as new chief information technology officer

Prudential has announced the appointment of Ashley Veasey as its new Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO), effective 18th September 2023.

Veasey will be based in Hong Kong and report to Solmaz Altin, the Managing Director of Prudential’s Strategic Business Group.

He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held leading positions in technology, digital transformation, and innovation at financial institutions, including Barclays, J.P. Morgan, Standard Chartered, and Citibank.

His diverse experience also extends beyond the financial sector, having served as an advisor to multiple technology companies and fintech start-ups. Veasey has also been a member of Google Cloud’s Advisory Board.

Altin expressed his excitement about Veasey’s appointment, also stating the pivotal role technology will play in Prudential’s newly launched strategy — “We are on an exciting journey of technology transformation and we are looking forward to having Ashley on board to lead the Technology function as it delivers solutions for our customers, agents, bank partners and employees.”
