In a strategic move to bolster its Asian market operations, Pacific Life Re announces the appointment of Vasan Errakiah as General Manager, Asia Markets.

Pacific Life Re has announced the appointment of Vasan Errakiah to the newly created role of general manager for Asia markets. He will also join the Asia Executive Committee.

He will oversee the company’s expanding operations in Asia and will report to Andrew Gill, the Executive Vice President for Asia and Australia at Pacific Life Re.

Errakiah has worked with Pacific Life Re for 15 years across its locations in London, Toronto, and Singapore. The company said that, in the last four years, Errakiah played a key role in driving business growth as the head of South-East Asia and Japan, leading the sales and marketing teams effectively.

Gill commented, “I’m delighted Vasan will be taking up this strategically important role. Having worked with us in Singapore for close to a decade, Vasan will bring deep experience and innate skills to develop solutions that address our clients’ needs.”

On his new role Errakiah stated, “I’m really looking forward to growing our business in the dynamic Asian markets and continuing to deliver on our promises to key partners in the region. It’s an exciting time to be at Pacific Life Re.”

The appointment of Errakiah marks yet another strategic step for Pacific Life Re in bolstering its position in the Asian markets and delivering continued growth towards its global footprint.
