Willis has appointed Steve Hutchinson as its new Head of Property & Casualty for Hong Kong and Macau, effective from 2 May 2025, the WTW business announced in a media release on Wednesday.
He succeeds Phil Timms, who will take on a new role as Managing Director, overseeing the business’s large account clients in Hong Kong.
Hutchinson brings over 24 years of experience in the insurance and broking industry, having worked across both the UK and Asia. He will move to Willis following a short stint with Howden Insurance Brokers Hong Kong, where he was Chief Broking Officer. Prior to that, he spent nearly 15 years with Marsh.
In his new role, Hutchinson reports to Iris Chan, Head of Corporate Risk & Broking for Hong Kong and Macau at Willis.
“We are thrilled to welcome Steve to Willis,” Chan says. “His extensive experience and deep understanding of the market will bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to our P&C business in Hong Kong and Macau.”
“The combined knowledge and experience of both Steve and Phil will undoubtedly strengthen our position in the market as Hong Kong’s best risk advisor and specialty broker for our clients,” adds Chan.
