QBE on Friday (4 Oct) announced that it has elevated Jerris Fong to the role of Head of Pricing for QBE Asia.
Fong first joins QBE in Jun 2019, holding the role of Manager for Quantitative Insights in Sydney. As part of his new role, he relocates to Singapore to join the QBE Asia team, where he will report to Jeremy Lau, Chief Underwriting Officer for the region.
“Jerris brings a wealth of experience in pricing and product design, predictive analytics, competitor analysis, quote platform system developments, portfolio management, reserving and financial planning,” QBE said in its announcement on LinkedIn.
In the new role, Fong will lead the pricing function to enhance portfolio and individual risk insights. He will also work to refine refining technical pricing models and improve the efficiency of pricing operations while nurturing the growth of the pricing team, QBE said.
Prior to his time with QBE, Fong held positions in Pricing & Research at Suncorp Group and as a Pricing Actuary at SCOR, both also based in Sydney.
