Cigna Healthcare has appointed Rob Peat as Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific, effective 1 April 2025, the company announced in a media release.

Peat has been with Cigna for over 22 years, starting his career with the business in 2002 as a Senior Actuarial Analyst in its Philadelphia office. He has since held a number of senior finance roles, including Chief Financial Officer for Asia Pacific, EMEA, and most recently, CFO for International Health.

In his new role, Peat reports to Jason Sadler, President of International Health, and will oversee the firm’s operations in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mainland China, and Australia.

“Rob’s extensive experience in health insurance and deep institutional knowledge across the various International Health markets in which we operate makes him the ideal choice to lead the way for our Asia Pacific business,” said Sadler. He added that Asia Pacific is “an important region for both our global health benefits and domestic health businesses”.

Commenting on his appointment, Peat said, “I’m thrilled to transition from my role as CFO for International Health to focus on Asia Pacific, an area of our business I’m well acquainted with and very passionate about having lived in Asia for more than a decade.”

Cigna also announced that Shaun MacKenzie will succeed Peat as Chief Financial Officer, International Health. MacKenzie has been with the company for 17 years in a range of actuarial, finance, and strategy roles.
