Quinton Kotze has been appointed as the new head of cyber solutions for Australia at Aon, effective May 2026, according to LinkedIn posts by chief executive officer Kevan Johnston and Australia specialty head Alistair Clarke on Tuesday.

Kotze joins the broker after holding various roles in his nearly 13 years at Chubb, most recently as digital domain lead and financial lines product manager for Asia. He brings almost two decades of industry experience, with prior stints at AIG and Marsh.

Kotze will be based in Sydney for his new role and will report to Clarke, who was appointed in early February. Kotze will be responsible for cyber risk strategy, focusing on growing related advisory and insurance solutions, and improving collaboration among Aon’s specialty team and its broader operations.

“Quinton brings strong experience across cyber and financial lines and is well known for turning complex issues into clear, practical advice for clients,” Johnston commented on Kotze’s appointment. “His experience will strengthen our cyber capability and the support we provide to clients across Australia.”

“Quinton brings deep cyber and financial lines experience, strong market credibility, and a practical approach to helping clients build resilience,” Clarke said. “I’m looking forward to working with him and introducing him to teams across the business in due course.”

Kotze’s move follows the appointments of Markus Poh as transaction solutions team director for Asia, George Attard’s as global head of analytics for Aon’s reinsurance solutions business, and Helmi Yusoff as head of emerging markets growth and advisory, Southeast Asia, at Aon Human Capital Solutions over the last month.
