Aon has announced that Jennifer Richards will be its next CEO of Asia Pacific, effective 1 March, according to a media release.
Richards takes over the position from Anne Corona, who in December was elevated to the roles of CEO of Enterprise Clients and Global Chief Commercial Officer.
Richards joined Aon in Australia 13 years ago and has been serving as the head of the country. In the coming months she will relocate to Singapore for the regional CEO role, where she reports to Lori Goltermann, CEO of Regions. She will also join the Aon Executive Committee.
Her responsibilities include creating value for clients, driving growth, and executing Aon’s 3×3 Plan, the global brokerage said in its announcement.
“The Asia Pacific region is critical to Aon’s strategy, representing significant growth opportunities across a diverse market,” Goltermann said. “Jennifer’s experience, Aon United mindset and ability to build and inspire high-performing teams position her to lead the Asia Pacific region to continued success.”
Before Aon, Richards held senior management roles at AIG in North America and practiced corporate and securities law at Sidley Austin LLP in New York City.
