Australian specialty (re)insurance broker BMS has been accredited as a “Kind Company” for promoting employee well-being and business culture, the firm announced on Thursday, 30 October.
According to its press release, BMS was deemed the first organisation in Australia’s insurance segment to achieve such recognition, awarded by the Kind Group. The company implemented a “Kindness Action Plan,” which includes embedding and tracking acts of kindness across the business and measuring them through the Kindness Index.
Speaking about the announcement, Andrew Godden, CEO of BMS Australia, underscored that kindness has been core to its business. “This accreditation validates our belief that kindness is not a soft skill, but a powerful driver of collaboration, well-being, and business performance,” Godden said.
The Kind Company has partnered with BMS since 2023, helping to embed kindness into its culture through training in mindfulness, collaboration, and self-acceptance.
