Hong Kong’s Insurance Authority (IA) launched a youth campaign in March 2025 to promote risk management awareness among tertiary students.
In a media release, the regulator said the campaign included campus outreach and online activities which have engaged around 2,000 participants. It featured local singers YT Chow and Cath Wong as ambassadors.
The IA also collaborated with the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (HKFI) and Metro Broadcast to visit three tertiary institutions on 21 and 27 March, during which 180 students participated in interactive games to learn about insurance fundamentals, risk management strategies, and career opportunities in the insurance sector.
Students also attended a sharing session with industry veterans from the HKFI and young management trainees from the IA, focused on the social function of insurance and its role in the financial sector.
The IA added the campaign is part of its ongoing efforts to engage the younger generation and that it will continue collaborating with the industry to promote insurance education and attract talent to the sector.
