Howden has appointed Vladimir Ljubisavljevic as Divisional Director in its Marine, Cargo & Logistics practice, Managing Director Daniel Whiteside announced on LinkedIn.
Ljubisavljevic joins from NorthStandard, where he served as Underwriting Director for Offshore & Renewables. He brings 16 years of marine insurance experience, including 13 years in the Asian market.
“Vladimir adds further depth to a proposition that I believe is unique in the marine insurance market. Another step towards giving clients more options, supported by people who’ve lived and breathed this industry for decades,” Whiteside said.
His career background includes maritime law, underwriting with an International Group P&I Club, and leading a regional marine shipping department for a multinational broker in Singapore. His expertise covers hull, war, P&I, trade disruption insurance, and marine claims handling.
“I look forward to working with an exceptional group of colleagues to elevate the marine retail practice to new heights in Asia,” said Ljubisavljevic.
Ljubisavljevic will be based in Singapore and will work with Howden’s recently expanded Marine Retail teams in Hong Kong and Singapore.
The appointment follows other recent senior hires across Howden’s Asia Pacific operations, including Jonathan Yang as Director for APAC Facultative Reinsurance at Howden Re in August and Chris Hughes as CEO of Howden New Zealand, effective November 2025.
