Howden has welcomed Mani Tsang to its Hong Kong team as its new head of claims, the broker announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.

Tsang joins from HDI Global, where she was claims manager in her short stint at the company. She brings over a decade of experience in complex claims management across Asia, with deep expertise spanning property, construction, energy, and liability lines. She began her career at Prudential Hong Kong and spent time at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd and AXA XL.

“Having held senior roles with leading global insurers, Mani has worked closely with brokers, underwriters, and clients on some of the region’s most challenging claims,” Howden said. “Her experience and steady leadership will be a real asset as we continue to strengthen our local capabilities.”

Earlier today, Howden announced that it had named Andy Buddell as its new chief operating officer for Asia. Tsang’s and Buddell’s appointments follow Mark Kenyon’s designation as a partner in Howden New Zealand’s Wellington team and the broker’s announcement last month of an expansion in its M&A insurance team with 12 hires across Singapore, Greater China and Japan, mostly from Aon.
