Liberty Global Transaction Solutions (GTS) has promoted Keshaya Yap to a newly created Asia portfolio manager role and expanded the remits of Damian Ng and Karen Hui while promoting Sanjeve Prakasam and Rachel Mimmo within its Asia-Pacific underwriting team, the company said in LinkedIn posts on Thursday.
Yap will take on wider responsibilities for the portfolio across Asia as Asia portfolio manager, GTS. She has been with Liberty GTS for nearly seven years and was most recently South East Asia lead, having previously held senior underwriter and underwriter roles in Singapore. Before joining Liberty, she worked as a legal associate at Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow.
Ng will serve as senior underwriter and GTS South East Asia and China lead. He joined Liberty GTS in 2022 and was most recently a senior underwriter. Earlier in his career, he held associate roles at Singapore law firms Drew & Napier and Shook Lin & Bok Singapore.
Hui, meanwhile, has been named senior underwriter and GTS North Asia lead. She has been with the firm since 2021 and was also most recently a senior underwriter, after spending nearly six years at law practice Lee & Lee, where she was a senior associate.
Prakasam has been promoted to senior underwriter, GTS India and Malaysia lead, after nearly four years with the business, most recently as an underwriter. He previously worked with law firms in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, including Christopher & Lee Ong, Zaid Ibrahim & Co and ZICO Insights Law.
Based in Sydney, Mimmo will step into the role of senior underwriter, GTS Australia and New Zealand lead. She joined Liberty in 2023 and was most recently an underwriter, having previously worked at law firms including Mills Oakley and Cobbetts LLP.
The expanded regional leadership roles follow Liberty GTS’s launch of Liberty Acquisition Protect in Asia-Pacific, a packaged M&A insurance product that covers both historical deal risks and certain post-completion operational exposures.
