Lloyd’s has overhauled its London-based executive team under the new leadership of CEO Patrick Tiernan, the company announced on Tuesday (3 June).
Rachel Turk has been appointed Chief of Market Performance and has also joined the Council of Lloyd’s. She will assume the underwriting responsibilities of the former Chief of Markets role, pending regulatory approval, bringing over 20 years of experience in strategic planning and commercial risk underwriting to the role.
Caroline Sanderman-Allen has been named Chief of Market Oversight, also pending regulatory approval, and will assume the oversight responsibilities previously held by the former Chief of Markets. She has been with Lloyd’s for 17 years and will also chair the Lloyd’s Market Oversight Group.
Jonathan May, currently CEO of Lloyd’s Insurance Company in the European Economic Area, joins the executive team, bringing nearly 19 years of experience at Lloyd’s, including previous roles as Chief Financial Officer for China and later for the Asia Pacific region.
Dawn Miller will serve on Lloyd’s Corporate Affairs and Business Opportunities Committee, in addition to her existing responsibilities as Chief Commercial Officer. She will also chair the Business Opportunities Committee.
The roles of Alexandra Cliff (Chief Financial Officer and Lloyd’s Council member), Nathan Adams (Chief People Officer), Claire Schrader (General Counsel), and David Sansom (Chief Risk Officer) remain unchanged, Lloyd’s said, while George Marcotte continues as interim Chief Operations Officer as the Corporation searches for a permanent replacement.
Patrick Tiernan, who joined Lloyd’s in 2021, was named CEO in May and officially succeeded John Neal this week.
