Manulife Hong Kong and Macau has appointed Wilton Kee as deputy chief executive officer, expanding his remit alongside his existing role as chief financial officer, the company announced on LinkedIn on Thursday.
Kee has been with Manulife since 2013 and has held a range of senior leadership roles across pricing, product and health before becoming CFO. He has over 24 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Manulife, he held numerous leadership roles for ING across the APAC region.
In the expanded role, Kee will work closely with the business’s chief executive officer to drive enterprise integration, strengthen management oversight, and align strategic and operational priorities across Hong Kong and Macau.
“A strategic leader with diversified expertise and a strong ability to bring teams together, Wilton has helped reinforce our market position and financial stewardship. His expanded remit reflects the meaningful impact he continues to make as we advance our long-term growth priorities,” Manulife said in its announcement.
The move follows another recent leadership appointment by Manulife, as Suresh Agarwal has been named managing director and chief executive officer designate of the company’s newly proposed 50:50 life insurance joint venture with Mahindra & Mahindra in India, subject to regulatory approvals.
