Miller appoints alberto ferriolo to strengthen apac cargo capabilities

Miller has announced the strengthening of its Asia Pacific cargo capabilities through the appointment of Alberto Ferriolo as Producer.

Ferriolo joins from Aon Netherlands, where he held the position of Account Manager in the Commodity team, providing marine insurance solutions for grains, metals, and energy clients across Europe and Asia, with a focus on cargo.

He will move to Miller’s Singapore office for the new role and collaborate closely with Jamie Kearney, Miller’s Global Head of Cargo, as well as the broker’s London cargo team.

Prior to working in insurance, Ferriolo gained relevant experience working for a commodity business and a global logistics company.

Matthew Hooker, Head of Energy and Marine Asia Pacific, said, “I am delighted that Alberto has chosen to join the Miller team. His industry knowledge and passion for client service will support our continued growth, enhance client choice, and support our goal to be the specialist broker of choice in Asia Pacific.”

Jamie Kearney, Miller’s Global Head of Cargo, added, “As we continue to help our clients navigate a complex and fast-changing risk landscape, intensified of late by geopolitical and economic change, [Ferriolo’s] appointment further demonstrates our commitment to the local market – and to investing in the talent and capabilities that will best serve its evolving needs.”
