MSIG Asia on Thursday (10 Oct) announced the appointments of Rajnish (Raj) Pal as Senior Vice President and Head of Transformation and Christian Kolmberger as Senior Vice President for Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Claims.

CEO of MSIG AsiaPal joins after nearly seven years with HSBC and, in his new role, is tasked with driving operational efficiency and synergy across MSIG in the region. His responsibilities include optimising business processes and leveraging technology to improve service delivery. He brings over 20 years of experience in financial services and consulting, having worked in Japan, Hong Kong, ASEAN, the UK, and the USA.
“His depth of expertise in designing new business models, and building and scaling new ventures will support the growth objectives of MSIG in Asia,” the insurer said in its announcement.
Kolmberger meanwhile joins from a Senior Technical Advisor role with Aon in Saudia Arabia and will focus on MSIG’s non-marine classes of business, including energy and construction—with an emphasis on renewable energy. He brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a specialisation in energy and construction.
“His in-depth knowledge of market dynamics and client needs will enable MSIG to deliver innovative insurance solutions tailored to the evolving renewable energy landscape,” said the insurer.
