MSIG Asia has announced the appointment of William Song as its Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Felicia Er as its Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
Song joined MSIG Asia in 2010 and was promoted to become its Chief Risk Officer in 2018. In his new role as CTO, Song will be responsible for overseeing strategic growth areas in the region to strengthen the company’s leadership position across the markets.
He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry from various markets around Asia-Pacific, and is a member of Singapore College of Insurance’s board of governors, and Bridge Alliance’s Advisory Council.
Er, MSIG’s regional actuary, will take on the role of CRO and report to Song. She will lead the company’s Risk Management and Actuarial Services for the region including ASEAN, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
She joined MSIG Asia in 2012 and has 16 years of general insurance experience in London and the Asia-Pacific region, covering reserving, pricing, portfolio monitoring, risk management and reinsurance optimisation.
In addition to her role as CRO, Er is also Chairperson of MSIG’s Motor Committee where she focuses on optimising the general insurer’s motor business for strategic growth and profitability in the region.
