Australia’s specialty insurer National Transport Insurance (NTI) has appointed Janelle Greene as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), according to an announcement on Tuesday (10 June).
Greene has spent nearly a decade with NTI, most recently as its Chief Customer Officer. In addition to leading the strategic direction in underwriting, customer experience, and marketing, she managed large-scale projects like Seahawk (Marine) and Mobile Plant (Yellow).
Her background also includes management roles at SunCorp, Bupa Australia, and QSuper Limited.
Speaking on Greene’s appointment, Ellie Comerford, NTI Chairperson of the Board said: “Since joining NTI 10 years ago, she has earned the respect and admiration of her NTI colleagues, as well as those in the insurance and transport & logistics industries, with her leadership, commitment to continuous improvement, and desire to deeply understand customers and their experiences.”
Greene will replace Tony Clark, who served as CEO for 18 years. Clark will remain as Managing Director of NTI before his retirement in mid-2026.
“Even when we faced tough market conditions, issues within our industries, the pandemic and more, the Executive and all NTI People always banded together and found a solution,” said Clark, while recognising Greene’s promotion.
Looking ahead to her new role, Greene commented: “I’m excited to be leading an organisation filled with outstanding people who truly love what they do and are passionate about working hard and making a positive difference when things get tough for Australian businesses and families.”
