Price Forbes has appointed Dick Heath as head of reinsurance and wholesale, Singapore, effective immediately, the specialty (re)insurance broker announced on Thursday. In his new role, Heath reports to Philip Johnson, chief executive officer for Asia-Pacific.
He brings more than 40 years of broking and underwriting experience, including the last 12 in the Singapore market. He joins Price Forbes from Gallagher, where he was CEO for Asia. Prior, he also served as managing director of Gallagher’s Singapore hub.
Johnson welcomed Heath to the business, saying his calibre, leadership skills, and reputation speak for themselves. “[Heath]’s extensive local market knowledge and proven track record will play a pivotal role in driving the explosive growth and market-leading culture we are on track to deliver as the preeminent specialty broker in Asia,” Johnson added.
Speaking on the reason for his move, Heath commented, “I’m impressed by the ambition and momentum of the business, and I look forward to working with a team of like-minded people to build a first-class reinsurance and wholesale proposition for clients across the region.”
