Gallagher Re has appointed MJ Sung as divisional director for its Korea team, effective 6 April 2026, the reinsurance broker announced via LinkedIn on Monday.
Sung has 18 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry and joins after eight years with Aon, with Gallagher Re stating his “broad industry background will support the growth of the Gallagher Re FAC team.”
The move comes amid a series of key personnel changes in Asia Pacific this year. Gallagher Re in February announced that Roshan Perera would become its new head of APAC, with Richard Jones appointed chairman, succeeding Mark O’Brien, former Head of APAC, who will leave the business to pursue new opportunities outside the broking industry and Mark Morley, the former chairman of APAC and deputy chairman of international, who is retiring.
