QBE Insurance Group has appointed Chris Killourhy as Group Chief Financial Officer, the company announced on LinkedIn on October 21.
Killourhy has been with QBE since 2015, holding senior positions across the insurer’s global operations, most recently as Managing Director of QBE Re in London.
Before that, he served as Chief Financial Officer for QBE International and previously held the same role for QBE’s Australia and New Zealand division. He has also worked as Chief Actuary for both QBE Insurance and QBE Equator Reinsurances Limited in Bermuda.
Prior to joining QBE, Killourhy spent time at Tokio Marine Europe as Chief Actuary and worked at the Bermuda Monetary Authority as Head of Internal Models. He has also held roles at Deloitte and Novae earlier in his career.
Killourhy’s appointment follows recent moves at QBE across Asia Pacific, including the appointment of Cindy Foo as Head of Asia, Treaty at QBE Re in earlier October and the launch of the insurer’s Customer Solutions Panel in Australia Pacific, which connects businesses with over 25 specialised risk management providers.
