Swiss Re has designated Robert Kell as its customer and distribution manager for Australia and New Zealand, according to a LinkedIn post on Monday by Lisa Matthews, head of customer and distribution management, ANZ, at the company.
Sydney-based Kell rejoins the reinsurer from Honey Insurance, where he was most recently the head of applied data science. He had previously served as a data scientist and assistant vice president at Swiss Re and brings more than five years of experience across wealth management, insurance, reinsurance, and superannuation, specialising in applying data science, machine learning, analytics, and experimentation.
Commenting on Kell’s appointment, Matthews said: “His commercial acumen and collaborative approach will be instrumental in advancing our ANZ customer and distribution strategy.”
Kell’s appointment follows the designation of Isabel Rawlence as senior client manager for Swiss Re’s public sector solutions division, also for ANZ, announced last month.
