IRL-RE has appointed Patrick Tynan as head of underwriting for Asia effective immediately, the reinsurance managing general agent (MGA) announced on LinkedIn this week.
Tynan moves from Gallagher in Singapore, where he spent over three years, to take on the new role with the US-based MGA, where he will be responsible for Asia underwriting across marine and non-marine lines, including facultative and treaty business.
“Patrick brings deep industry expertise and regional insight that will further strengthen our global platform and support our continued growth across Asia,” IRL-RE said. “His leadership will play a key role in delivering disciplined, strategic reinsurance solutions aligned with our commitment to speed, precision, and insight.”
Tynan’s previous roles also include a two-year stint at Marsh, and nearly a decade at WTW, according to his LinkedIn profile.
