The Texel Group, a specialist credit and political risk insurance broker, announced on Wednesday that William Shaw has been appointed as Texel’s Deputy CEO, while Angela Chang has been promoted to the role of Managing Director for Texel Asia.
Shaw, previously the Managing Director of Texel Asia and based in Singapore, will move to London for his new role. He has been a key figure in the business’s growth, joining Texel in 2003 as the company’s fourth employee. Shaw later set up Texel’s presence in the USA and moved to Singapore in 2012 to establish Texel’s operations in Asia.
Singapore-based Chang brings over 18 years of experience in financial services and banking to her new position as MD for Asia. Before joining Texel in 2022, she was a Director in the Aviation Finance team at MUFG and prior to that, she was Senior Vice President for the Syndications team at DVB Bank. She began her career with Deutsche Bank in 2006, working in multiple roles, including the Credit Structuring team.
Texel also announced that Jonathan Crossfield had joined the business in London as the group’s first Chief Financial Officer.
