Willis has named Michelle Ng as head of risk and analytics for the Pacific region, the global broker announced on Monday. She succeeded Matt Frost, who has left the company.

Ng joins Willis after six years at Marsh, where she most recently served as head of analytics, Pacific. Her previous experience includes five years at Suncorp, where she held senior analytics and actuarial roles.

Willis said Ng would lead the team in delivering data-driven insights, actuarial expertise and advanced risk modelling to clients in the region.

“[Ng] is a qualified actuary and brings both deep technical skill and a commercial mindset, a combination that will bring tremendous value to our clients and business,” James Baum, head of Pacific at Willis, said. “Her expertise in actuarial science, analytics and advisory, together with her strong industry leadership, will play a pivotal role as we continue to strengthen our specialty capabilities across the Pacific.”

Ng’s appointment comes amid wider Asia-Pacific personnel moves by Willis recently. In January, the business created distinct Asia natural resources, construction leadership roles, including the appointment of Steve Hutchinson as head of CRB Hong Kong, Macau. Earlier this month, the broker announced that Mareli Vermeulen would relocate from Sydney to Singapore as the business’s new head of M&A for Asia, and, separately, the hiring of Jess Li as director of P&C in Hong Kong and Macau.
